Folisurge 1200IU Injection contains follitropin alfa 1200 IU/1.92 mL, a recombinant form of human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). It is a prescription fertility medicine used under specialist supervision to stimulate ovarian follicle development in women undergoing fertility treatment and, in selected cases, to support sperm production in men with certain forms of hypogonadism.
The injection is administered subcutaneously. Treatment and dosing are individualized according to the patient's fertility treatment protocol and response. Because FSH therapy can cause ovarian overstimulation and other complications, it should be used only under appropriate medical monitoring.
