Metronidazole 400mg is the gold-standard treatment for anaerobic bacterial infections and protozoal infections, widely used across Sydney's hospitals and community pharmacies. Metrogyl 400mg from Unnati Pharmax provides the same proven clinical efficacy as brand Flagyl at affordable cost.
Metronidazole's spectrum covers anaerobic bacteria responsible for dental abscesses, pelvic inflammatory disease, C. difficile colitis, and peritoneal infections, as well as protozoa causing giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and amoebiasis. Sydney's gastroenterology departments also use it as part of triple therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication — a major cause of peptic ulcers and gastric cancer in Australia's diverse multicultural population.
Metrogyl should always be taken with food and strictly avoided with alcohol. Visit medshopy.com or WhatsApp +91 82650 41513.

Why can't I drink alcohol while taking Metrogyl, and how long should I wait after finishing the course?Metronidazole inhibits aldehyde dehydrogenase — the same enzyme that Disulfiram (an alcohol aversion drug) blocks. When alcohol is consumed with Metronidazole, acetaldehyde accumulates in the blood, causing a highly unpleasant reaction including flushing, severe nausea and vomiting, rapid heartbeat, and dizziness — similar to a severe hangover but immediate. This disulfiram-like reaction can occur even with very small amounts of alcohol. You should avoid alcohol for the entire course of Metrogyl and for at least 48 hours after the last dose. Some practitioners advise 72 hours for safety, as individual metabolism varies.
